House sparrow and nasturtiums.

One does not necessarily have to travel far in search of subjects. On a wall just outside our back door, we keep a dish of water for the birds. In summer, nasturtiums romp over and around the wall providing a colourful backdrop to the many avian visitors. This picture was begun as a rough sketch to provide reference material for a painting or monoprint. But I like it just as it is. It is quite loose, but I'd certainly call it "finished" and have it stuck up on the wall of my studio.
